SMS Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: December 2, 2025
1. Purpose of SMS Messages
Health Reception sends automated text messages (“SMS”) on behalf of clinics. These messages may include:
- Appointment confirmations
- Appointment reminders
- Reschedule or cancellation notices
- Basic informational messages related to your visit
These messages are intended to be transactional in nature and are not general marketing campaigns.
2. Not for Emergencies
SMS messages sent through Health Reception are not monitored 24/7 and are not intended for emergency use.
Do not use SMS to report medical emergencies or urgent symptoms. If you believe you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
3. How You May Receive SMS Messages
You may receive SMS messages when, for example:
- You provide your mobile number to a clinic that uses Health Reception
- You request an appointment or submit a booking request
- You call the clinic and consent to receive follow-up messages
- The clinic adds your number to their contact or scheduling system
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of receiving care or purchasing services from the clinic.
4. Opt-Out (Stopping Messages)
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting:
- STOP – to stop receiving SMS messages
- HELP – to receive basic help information
After you send STOP, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. Message frequency may vary depending on your appointments and the clinic’s configuration.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to SMS messages, depending on your mobile plan and carrier. You are responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier for sending or receiving SMS messages.
6. Supported Carriers
Major U.S. carriers are generally supported. Availability may vary and can change over time. Your carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Privacy
SMS messages may include limited information such as appointment date and time, clinic name, and basic instructions. Messages are sent on behalf of the clinic and are subject to our Privacy Policy.
For more details on how we handle information, please review our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service or receipt of SMS messages after changes are posted indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Contact for SMS Support
